IP-based transmission (IPTV) has become an increasingly important service to the Media Industry. With benefits that include reduced requirements for satellite bandwidth, less and smaller equipment at remote sites, faster set-up, and high quality, it’s easy to see why IPTV is here to stay. Agiosat’s extensive experience in IP, as well as traditional video, allow it to be a leader in providing quality, dependable IPTV service. IPSNG performs traditional SNG functions but utilizes an IP-based data stream for transmission via satellite. The advantages are satellite bandwidth requirements are reduced by up to 4 times and the required equipment for transmission takes less rack space and requires a smaller antenna. This means significant potential savings with no reduction in the quality of the video product. To learn more about IPSNG, click here.

Remote satellite broadcasts have historically required a choice: either lug a lot of heavy equipment into the field in order to get a good quality transmission, or carry a few light-weight pieces, and get an almost unusable transmission. With Agiosat’s BGAN for Broadcast, one case of equipment, small and light enough to fit under an airplane seat, can provide both quality and convenience without having to make any compromises. Production communication has become increasingly difficult and expensive. The need for studio-to-production site communication is increasing, yet the cost and ability to locate terrestrial-based services is becoming more difficult. Agiosat has designed a system utilizing Voice over IP (VoIP) to provide an inexpensive, consistent and reliable service that can be deployed on site in less than 5 minutes without having to involve any outside vendors.
