State and Regional Networks

State Networks Agiosat has created the North American Public Safety Network spanning the entire Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Possessions in the Pacific and Caribbean. This is truly a national and international satellite-based Wide Area Network (WAN) that can be accessed by any agency in a particular state or region - or nationwide.

Because every user is on the same WAN, there is instant interoperability with any device on the network. For example, a state could sponsor it's own state-wide Agiosat network sharing bandwidth among the users within the group, thereby fixing the per-site network at an economical cost. Should more bandwidth be required to meet the needs of a specific event - say a hurricane, the bandwidth could instantly be increased for those sites affected by the calamity.

The Agiosat North American Public Safety Network is a standards-based, instantly available, fully interoperable communications network that is full featured and totally integrated. A dial-up voice telephone system (with "normal" North American telephone numbers) totally bypassing existing terrestrial infrastructure is a standard feature of the NAPSN.  This enables four-digit dialing between any two users on the Agiosat system at no charge per minute "on network".  So, for example, the State Emergency Operations Center can contact a local police facility by dialing four digits and speak securely without additional cost. Conference calls, multi-point voice and video conferencing, sharing broadcast data to present a Common Operating Picture, and porting 2-way radio communication into a disaster scene can be established instantly, and operated simultaneously
