VSAT
Agiosat’s VSAT system is comprised of two major elements: the outdoor equipment, and the indoor equipment. The outdoor system consists of the antenna system and Block Uplink Converter (BUC). The indoor equipment is an 8 rack-unit (15 inch) equipment stack consisting of a satellite modem, receiver, networking and power systems. With this powerful configuration, Agiosat’s can provide:
- Antenna systems customized for differing applications. Fixed antennas for long term use, auto-deploy systems for automatic set-up, portable for easy transport, and Agiosat’s defi™ designed to operate in challenging environments such as sustained 200 mph winds.
- Powerful systems designed to punch through weather-related issues such as rain or snow.
- Variable bandwidth-on-demand for each remote node to meet immediate local requirements. For example, in public safety, should there be additional requirements for connectivity, the bandwidth can be increased in a few minutes and then reduced later as required.
- Constant monitoring of the signal quality and throughput. With on-board diagnostics, and teleports manned 24/7 by satellite engineers, Agiosat can normally discover anomalies, and correct them before they become a problem.
- A full suite of IP and video capabilities that support data rates from DSL to DS-3. There’s also a full suite of telephone services including conferencing, voice mail and all the features one expects from today’s sophisticated telecommunications systems. And Agiosat supports a full range of video, including IPTV as well as traditional digital and analog video.
